A listening Friend

If you are upset and don’t know why try talking about your life to someone. Even if you aren’t aware on some discrepencies you may find that after awhile you are able to find some inner conflicts you are dealing with. Talk even if you don’t know why.

I’ve found that unsettled emotions can be disscussed and just by having a friend listen you can feel heard and come up with your own answers to the problems. Just hearing yourself express a situation out loud means that you can calm down a little. The experience of being truly heard can be a remarkable miracle.

Sometimes you may surprise yourself with the words you say. In this case it is possible that even by writing or talking things out by yourself could be helpful. It is good to realize that things to pass by and the things that bother us one week don’t usually bother us the next week.

Still there is something about talking things over with a friend that can really help. I have found that by finding someone to listen and find that they have similar views, problems and perspectives you can feel lifted, lighter and rejuvinated. No longer are you alone with your problems but you are part of the human family.  Don’t just think about it… Talk about it!

Some of my hobbies include playing piano, guitar, drawing and more recently beading. It also really interesting to recieve comments from the amazing people who read my Blog. I hope if you feel inclined that you will tell me a bit about yourself. I would like to think that some special time spent off the net is also important for you or me. In this time you could sing or dance or just sit with a book. In the mean-time it's nice to have met you because there is some quality time spent on the net. I hope you have had time to look at your favourite song or look up your favourite author. My favorite song is True Colour by Cyndi Lauper and my favourite author is Gretchin Rubin. I feel gratitude that I can write this Blog. I hope you come back and see what new Blog is here over time. In the mean time have a great day and stay you!
